For a long time Marty has been a fanatical supporter of the Free Software movement and has been using Free Software exclusively at work and home for over a decade. When local interest in Free Software / Open Source began to increase he took the opportunity to invite Richard Stallman, the founder of the Free Software Foundation, to Belfast. As a consequence he has spent a lot of his time over the past few months helping to organise the FOSS Means Business conference that is taking place in Belfast next Thursday.

Marty believes that Free Software as a business foundation has given Kasei the resources to compete with much larger companies, while the Free Software worldwide community has helped with our development and provided opportunities for us to work throughout Ireland, the UK, and further afield.
